About the Name Wainscot

When a name begins with the wild and wonderful letter W we expect to encounter a certain level of moodiness from the individual who bears it. And since the letter S is the symbol for all things sassy, sexy, sensual, saucy, scandalous and spirited, its conjunction with the W tends to create words with the Zeitgeist of the 10th century: whimsy, wise, winsome, wistful, and whiskey. These are smoldering people with a cryptic quality to them, who are unafraid of striking out for what they want.

The universe to a WS is something to be experienced with all one’s senses and not to be observed through the narrow lens of a telescope. It’s unlikely, therefore, that you’d find one staying in one place or being with any one person for too long. It’s not that he’s particularly adverse to commitment, but it is a little suspicious that he’s either in the process of starting or ending a relationship.

WSs have reputations for being prolific flirters with strong libidos, but this is just a sample of their overall passion for life. With their mélange of physical energy, emotional intelligence and natural charm, WSs can pull off the role as a high-paid CEO, sports idol, or a sales-professional with equal ease. Most companies would jump at the chance to have a WS in their customer service or human resources department; their sharp wits and innate understanding of human nature enables them make other people feel important. WSs are easy to be around because they aren’t worriers. On the other hand, they don’t have a particularly well-developed sense of danger and often make poor choices in their professional lives.

Despite all that self-confident strutting, there’s an unexpected reserve when WSs find themselves unsure of their standing in new relationships. This is about the only time you’ll find them keeping a low profile, and just when you think you’ve learned all there is to know about them, they’ll surprise you (pleasantly or otherwise) with an unexpected twist. It’s just a symptom of their penchant for keeping people off balance. The best way for dealing with this is to drop all your expectations and allow them to blaze their own trails.

If you’re thinking of tying the knot with a WS, you should make absolutely sure that he’s absolutely sure that he’s ready to commit to one person. Sometimes a WS will marry someone in order not to lose her -- a decision that invariably ends in disappointment -- but if he commits to you for the right reasons, hang onto your hat. It’s going to be a wild and wonderful ride.
