With the exception of the JM names, there are more people in the United States with a JN name than any other. This extraordinary popularity may be a tribute to the letter J’s ability to impart a sense of integrity, but the fact that these names also fall under the influence of the negative letter N is an indication of some dark secret, or a reflection of the JNs’ occasional forays into self-doubt. Because these are people who have likely been treated since childhood as part of the in-crowd, they have extraordinarily levels of self-confidence and equally resolute backbones. Since words ending with the high-pitched Y or IE tend to denote the emotional expressiveness found in silly, goofy, funny, happy, sunny, and zany, The Jeanies, Johnnys, and Janeys of the world are somewhat more approachable than the Johns, Joans and Junes.
Like most people whose names begin with the letter J, JNs have a strong sense of justice and will think nothing of putting themselves at personal disadvantage when they think they’re doing the right thing. If your JN friend happens to be a politician (as many J-named people are), he or she would be neither a hawk nor a dove: your JN friend is likely to be an owl. JNs crave companionship and shine in relationships when their mates meet their internal criteria. They function best with steady spouses who aren’t addicted to constant change but will probably be disappointments to lovers looking for fluffy expressions of romance. These are dignified, rather introspective individuals, who simply don’t have much time for games. JNs are into the nitty-gritty: nest building, upward-mobility, child rearing, and retirement plans.
