About the Name Vachel

The letter L is the iconic letter of the things that money can’t buy: life, love, liberty, laughter and learning. And since the letter V is the symbol of virility and voluptuousness, it’s no surprise that the VL combination gives rise to such vital words as: valor, viable, validity, voila, and Vulcan (the Roman god of fire). That’s why people who bear VL names are usually perceived as having vigorous lives and smoldering sensualities to boot. These individuals are ready for anything and instinctively flex to fit every situation.

VLs are energetic people who can handle a variety of tasks at one time. They are drawn to physical activities, which highlight their extraordinary endurance and even become edgy when they aren’t juggling several projects at once. This quality makes them desirable as employees where most of the time the VLs’ co-workers appreciate their drive and flexibility. But VLs aren’t corporate ladder-climbers by any means; they are lovers, not workers. Their penchant for socializing is, in fact, the one thing that impedes their rise to the top of their fields.

Oddly enough for such social extroverts, many VLs have quite a perfectionist streak. It seems as if they have a compulsive need to keep their environments neat and organized, and are easily distracted if their pens and paperclips aren't in their respective compartments. Once they’ve got all their ducks in a row though, they’ll be as hardworking as Chinese farmers. Employers appreciate their precision and fanaticism for detail but sometimes their pickiness prolongs even the simplest tasks. Ideal jobs are those that can challenge the VL intellectually or give them a chance to flaunt their dogged energy. Like most people whose names begin with the letter V, VLs are consummate politicians who -- even if they don’t pursue politics professionally -- will ply their people-charming skills to great effect in the workplace.

Few personalities can rival the VLs for passionate courtship -- for VLs fall in love with as much consideration as they do in shampooing their hair (although with considerably more bounce). Since falling out of love comes just as easily, it takes a special someone to hold their attention beyond a few months. Marriage will have to be with someone who can stimulate more than their libidos -- preferably with someone who can keep them intrigued.

Children will welcomed with open arms although VL parents are likely to start pushing them out of the nest almost as soon as they’re born. These independent personalities see no reason why their children wouldn’t share the same desire for freedom as they do.
