Since the letter V is the unquestioned flagship of all that is virile, vibrant, voluptuous, virtuous, vampish and valiant, it tends to imbue words with a sense of vim, vigor, and overt sexuality. Even when it occurs in words initialized by the conservative letter J -- the symbol of all things judicious and judgmental – the V manages to suggest an intrepid, flamboyant personality who is jovial and juvenile. Like most people whose names begin with the J, JV people are not ones to publicly draw attention to themselves, but will usually turn out to be the ringleaders of their large social groups.
When growing up, the JV was probably a bouncy, even hyperactive, child who found release in competitive sports. One thing is certain; the JV’s talents include a highly competitive instinct and the talent to pull it off. Although JVs have little time for those who can’t pull their own weight, they are not the types to gloat over their successes. These are people with old-fashioned values and an affinity for keeping things simple. They also have an uncommon set of communication skills, which is put to work in their professional lives, and they often choose careers that involve writing, politics or management. This is why such a high percentage of JVs end up as company spokespeople, lawyers and arbitrators.
By carefully picking their battles and keeping a lid on negative emotions when tensions are running high, JVs prove to be formidable and successful negotiators. But JVs are sorely lacking when it comes to patience and don’t suffer fools gladly. This is why they are rarely found in the helping professions such as counseling, medicine or education.
It takes a special partner to keep up with the JVs’ robust sexual appetites and even though they will mellow with age, mates can still expect a lifetime of surprises. This may prove tiresome to less adventurous personalities who find themselves bobbing in the wake of the JVs’ enthusiastic wave-making, but for those able to keep up with these energetic creatures, JVs will prove to be loyal, flexible and unconditional life-long friends.
