Names that incorporate the unexpected letter X are usually an indication of people withstrong agendas (or at least the carefully cultivated illusion thereof). And even though these names are initialized by the maternal and motherly letter M, it’s the letter X that gives them their individualistic flair and indelibly colors our opinions. MXs are full of surprises and the characteristics that separate them from the crowd can be discerned in the words: complex, flummox, mixup, minx, moxie, and lummox. It should be noted, the letter N (as in the name Maxine) is the symbol for negativity (no, not, never, nyet, nada, nix, nothing, naught) and suggests a hint of cynicism underlying her intricate façade. But it’s true to say that all MXs are people with unusual destinies; the roads down which they travel are circuitous and unpaved.

As capable as they are, MXs typically steer clear of competitive arenas. If the MXs are going to compete – it’ll be against themselves. So if they are going to be involved in sports or sales, it’ll probably be as mentors or coaches.
Like most people whose names begin with the maternal M, it’s almost impossible for MXs to turn their backs on their friends. But they don’t always express their feelings in over-sentimental ways. They believe the whole mushy romantic thing to be quite overrated and are the types who give their lovers practical gifts for Christmas. If you have any gripes with their rather perfunctory styles, you shouldn’t try and manipulate them with expressions of hurt; the best way to handle them is to appeal to their logic and sense of justice.
