The letter V is the undisputed flagship of all that is virile, vibrant, voluptuous, virtuous, vampish and valiant, and tends to imbue words with a sense of vim, vigor and overt sexuality. And when names begin with the sexy, sassy letter S, it’s quite understandable that they take on the provocative qualities found in the words:, svelte, salivate, savor, salvo, slavish, strive, seductive, and savvy. These are people whose verve and humor dovetail quite nicely into a charmingly impulsive personality.
Their sleek physical appearance coupled with their calculating intelligence puts SVs in the power seat when it comes to their relationships. And because they’re so competitive they’ll use whatever they have -- charm, sass or sex appeal – to get what they want. But don’t expect SVs to throw tantrums when they lose: one of their defining aspects is their uncommon pride. So if you’re going to see a burst of passion from them, it’ll probably be a fit of pique over some trivial inconvenience like an overcooked steak or a poorly made movie. But, as everyone knows, it’s better to put up with the SVs’ bark than it is their whining. No one takes their outbursts too seriously and the SVs’ easy-going baseline makes up for the occasional tantrums.
SVs certainly don’t lack a sense of humor, but this doesn’t mean that they take their work or their relationships lightly. It’s as if they feel destined to do something exceptional with their lives, and even if they may not know what it is, feel compelled to search under every rock for potential glory. There is one thing that SVs are extraordinarily good at, and that’s communicating. This inclination to express themselves often draws them to careers in the arts or education, but even when not actively engaged in direct conversation, SVs spend a great deal of time in their heads looking for new angles on their latest ideas. So be careful about giving your SV friend your email address… they’ll put out more emails a week than most spammers do in a month.
These versatile individuals also enjoy family time and, surprising as it may seem, will enjoy settling down once they’ve had a chance to play the field. But no matter how hard SVs fall in love, they’ll never be accused of smothering anyone. Their mates will enjoy the dubious freedom of having partners whose social engagements often take them out of the house, but whose warmth and open affections will always hold their interest. The SVs’ children will come to know them as smart, caring (if somewhat distracted) parents who will grant them the freedom to learn from their own mistakes.
