About the Name Bruce

The brash BR phoneme is responsible for the BRS names’ swaggering and self-confident air. We instinctively associate this breezy letter combination with images like brat, brilliant, brawny, braggart, break and brittle. The softly sensual tones of the S sound (or soft C) manage to dilute these abrasive effects, but the overall upshot is still brassy, brash, brisk, bristling, bruising, and brusque. In short, most BRSs are take-charge people with a sensitive side that is revealed only to people whom the BRS completely trusts.

There’s something bracing about the BRS personality; if they were animals, they’d be stately bull moose or sable antelopes. Conscientious but casual about their physical appearance, BRSs usually present a non-intimidating and informal air. This laid-back approach may well limit their earning potentials, but BRSs will happily forgo fiduciary success in exchange for free time and autonomy.

BRS personalities are capable of creating wonderfully complex (but private) fantasies in which they are masters of the universe; using all their imagined power to create a world in which nobody has to work, bedrooms are automatically cleaned and everybody parties. To them, life is a just a race in which to cram as much pleasure as the allotted time allows. Because they prefer to be recognized for their machismo and physicality, rather than their intellectual prowess, BRS types generally steer clear of academic pursuits.

In their personal lives, BRSs prove to be extraordinarily loyal and protective of their family and friends. With a BRS at your side, you’ll always have someone who will come to your aid without asking questions. So go ahead and pick a fight with the biggest bully you can find and watch your BRS friend enthusiastically take care of business for you. While a BRS will never actually initiate these fights, their protective qualities make them great soldiers, policemen and bodyguards.

With so much buoyant energy, it’s hard to bring a BRS down. But the biggest hindrance to these individuals is their exaggerated sense of pride that can impede communication with co-workers and loved ones. But even though his “I’m always right” attitude may trigger a great deal of resentment, when the BRS acknowledges his own shortcomings, his intimate relationships prove to be enduring and highly appreciated.
