About the Name Habacuc

In the HB names, the hushed, harmonious tones of the letter H come into direct conflict with the belligerent, blustering, brash, and brooding tones of the letter B. This internal discord proves to be a source of tension in the HB names and it takes a decidedly strong personality to navigate through this inherent friction. Perhaps this explains why the HB names are reserved solely for men.

If HBs were symbolized by a sign in the Zodiac, they’d be represented by Libra… a precarious balancing act of the Ying and Yang forces in his personality. He’s aggressive in business, but honest to a fault. He may also be helpful and full of advice, but he can also be bossy, obtuse and hard-headed enough to make Mike Tyson wince. Still, once he decides to take up your cause, he’s yours for better or worse. So while making a casual acquaintance with an HB may be easy, getting rid of him may present the real problem. This is one stubborn creature and his successes in his career and relationships come in large part from his obstinate refusal to give up.

Unlike many people whose names begin with the letter H, failure doesn’t seem to faze the HB much. Although he may shed a tear over a failed romance here and there, in the scheme of things he recognizes failure to be simply another path to self-improvement.

What HBs have in common with most H-named people is that they rarely resort to dishonesty or deceit to get what they want out of life. They also strongly disapprove when others do that sort of thing and expect nothing less than brutal honesty from their business and social associates. But in terms of their careers, HBs shouldn’t expect to achieve positions of top leadership. These are men whose talents are better utilized behind the scenes where their work ethic is appreciated by others who are better suited for leadership.

HBs can be surprisingly intuitive in matters of the heart. These are men who are skilled in playing by the rules of romance, even if they’re not immune to the occasional clumsily conducted courtship. But since HBs are not those for playing games when it comes to the important issue of love, they have limited patience for women who play hard to get. But if she accepts his initial advances, his wooing will be gentle but persistent. And after the nuptials are said and done, she’ll be expected to cheerfully tend the hearth in exchange for the staunch devotion of her HB mate.
