The GRG names embody two distinctly different personality types depending upon how the first letter G is pronounced. In the case of the hard G (Greg and Gregory), there’s a connotation of an aggressive and hard-edged personality. This is because the guttural G is the letter of grumble, garish, gatling gun, grim, and grimy. On the other hand, the softly pronounced G (as in George and Georgina) takes its milder cue from the words; gentle, genuflect, genial, and genuine. This is why all female GRG names utilize the softer pronunciation, and why ‘hard’ male GRG names ooze such relaxed masculinity.
But no matter how the initial letter is pronounced, words that contain a double dose of the G are instilled with the air of forceful authority that contaminates the words; mugger, jagged, trigger, bugger, swagger, dagger, and bigger. These aggressive qualities are hardly mitigated by the fact that names beginning with the GR phoneme tend to be associated with the warning sounds of: growling, grimacing, grieving, grizzly, and grave.
With all these powerful influences, it should be clear that we’re dealing with an emotionally strong individual with a self-confidence that borders on arrogance. GRGs are not the types to wait for life to come to them. They’ll forcefully hunt it down and make it do their bidding.
Like most G-named people, GRGs usually succeed in everything they try. Of course they’re going to make their fair share of mistakes, but true to their dictum that “failure only occurs when you give up”, nothing’s going to keep these determined individuals down for long. Inasmuch as these are hard nuts to crack, GRGs are welcomed in careers that reward perseverance and fortitude. From police-work to firefighting to the military professions, they are comfortable in positions of leadership and are particularly capable when it comes to hard-core business negotiations. They are concrete-minded people, who rely so much on their sense of logic that it’s rare for them to get carried away by their emotions.
Once you've won a GRG’s respect, you'll have the eternal allegiance of a loyal and capable friend. And when it comes to the GRGs’ intimate affairs, these occasionally gruff characters can be remarkably suave and sophisticated lovers when they’re trying to make an impression. They are physical people who love to touch and be touched, and in truth, their lovemaking has more to do with carnality than it has to do with romance. The casual lover will learn that their bite can sometimes be worse than their bark.
