When the sassy letter S teams up with the tightly-wound tones of the letter T, it evokes the strong and steadfast characteristics found in the words: stable, steely, stiff, stark, statue, stony, strict, stubborn and stoic. But because the letter L is the symbol for all things loving, laughing, light and learned, it’s not surprising that when people describe the STL personality, they invariably mention her strength and always cite her gentle, loving core. You could almost say the STL is the epitome of womanly confidence and strength -- a renaissance woman in fact -- with the potential to do anything, but the lack of focus to see it through.
No one has yet invented a problem that’s too tough for an STL to tackle. This doesn’t mean that she is able to solve everything that comes her way, mind you, but she’ll certainly give it her best effort. That’s why you definitely want to have an STL friend around when your life hits the rocks. Not only are these people blessed with a remarkable brand of street-intelligence, but they’re also quite amenable to sharing their skills with anyone who asks. In another expression of their tender core, STLs always seem to be picking up human and animal strays.
There’s an odd quirk to the STL personality: at times, nothing surprises her more than her own actions. She may resolve never to cross a certain line or commit a certain act, but before she knows what’s happened, she’s gone ahead and done it anyway. While this may not come as a huge revelation to her loved ones (who have long since gotten used to her impulsive moods), most STLs secretly wish they could be a little more stable at times.
Because of her changeable nature, the STL finds it impossible to stay in the same career for her whole life, and she will often switch boats in midstream to investigate new horizons. Because this is obviously a drawback for many employers, many STLs pay the price in terms of reduced income potential.
At heart, the STL is an explorer who feels driven to discover herself and can hold her own on pretty much any subject that doesn’t involve math or war. And when it comes to settling down, she’s going to be at her best when she lands a mate who shares her sense of adventure. If worst comes to worst, and she finds herself paired with some species of couch potato, she runs the risk of losing her chipper self and becoming the thing she fears most: complacent.
As mates, STLs are consistently upbeat and willing to please, and where children are involved, they take a stellar turn. Even though many STLs reported fearing that children would upset their intricately concocted dreams, without exception they discovered parenthood to be their ultimate calling.
