Over three million people in the United States have names that begin with the letters AL. Thisis hardly surprising when one considers the effect of the authoritarian letter A’s union with the lively and loving letter L, whichcreates the dynamism inherent in the words; alert, altruism, alive, alluring, all right, and almighty. Even so, ALX names number fewer than 200,000 in the United States, which is probably a reflection of parents’ reluctance to use the mysterious and misunderstood letter X in their children’s names. When they do, however, the X colors these names with its distinct sense of non-conformity, and these children tend to take paths in life that express a love for the unusual.
Laid back? No doubt about it. The LX letter combination is found in words like deluxe, luxury, relax and flexible—all of which go a long way in describing these people’s penchant for comfort and material wealth. These are complex people too. In fact, the names Alexander and Alexandria are among the longest names in the English language and their convoluted personalities reflect the intricate structure of their names.
ALXs are larger-than-life, enthusiastic individuals whose charisma often proves irresistible. Yet although everyone seems to agree that ALXs are warm-hearted, they also have a tendency toward arrogance, which -- if not reined in -- can prevent them from being fully understood.
But for sheer originality and strength of character, ALX people are hard to beat. Nothing is without significance to the ALX whose creative tendencies direct them to uncharted modes of self-expression, which is why these individuals are often noted for their odd hobbies and compulsions for the dramatic. Whether it’s sculpture, design, or computer programming; everything the ALX does will be influenced by his or her signature flair.
A relationship with ALXs will probably also prove to be unconventional encounters. Without being militant, they are very much non-traditionalists when it comes to their love lives and will structure their personal affairs accordingly. On the upside, the ALXs’ liberal attitude towards love and relationships often includes a refreshing approach to sexuality, to which partners are often surprised to find themselves becoming addicted.
