About the Name Jacalyn

If it’s true that complex names herald complex personalities, JCLN names prove the rule. These are women who’ve elected not to contract their names to the friendlier Jackie, and the competing forces within these names suggest personalities whose outward fortitude comes at the price of somewhat a fragile emotional core. The JCLN’s external strength comes from the combination of the judicious letter J and the cool, cutting tones of the crisply pronounced letter C. We see these decidedly combative tones in the words: jackboot, Jekyll, jerk, jackal, and hijack. The letter L on the other hand, is the indicator of all things that money can’t buy (love, life, laughter, learning and liberty)andin combination with the negative letter N (no, not, never, nada, nyet, nix, and nothing) evokes the pessimism and emotional brittleness found in the words: loony, loner, bland, lunkhead, lament, lesion, and larceny. Complex indeed!

If you knew a JCLN in high school, she was probably the kind of person that everyone respected. Not that she was universally liked, mind you, for there was something about her that made her inaccessible to all but her closest friends. Even when she laughed – which she often did – there was probably a distinct glint of sharp tooth in her smile.

It’s important for the JCLN to present the outward appearance of being the epitome of a cool collected woman; mainly because she needs to protect her feelings. If the JCLN was a food-group, she’d be a dark semi-sweet chocolate with a sweet gooey filling. Somewhat of an acquired taste, but as rich as Donald Trump on the inside.

JCLNs who decide to take advantage of their impressive charismas usually do well in the professional world. But it’s rare to find JCLNs who enjoy work for its own sake, for these are women with a not-so-secret penchant for taking things easy. But once JCLNs feel they have enough money to take care of life’s necessities (manicures, massages and shopping sprees) she’ll probably settle into a more introspective and meaningful existence.

Even if they’re not immune to the occasional clumsy relationship (especially with the bad-boy types), JCLNs are skilled in the art of romance and can be surprisingly gentle lovers. But JCLNs are not ones for playing games when it comes to the important issue of love and have limited patience for men who refuse to do their parts in the courting rituals. After the nuptials are said and done, they’ll happily trade some of their cherished independence in exchange for their mates’ unconditional devotion.
