About the Name Keeping

The letter N is the defining symbol for all things negative, which is why it is the initial letter for no, not, never, none, nyet, nada, nix, naught and nothing. When this pessimistic force combines with the dynamic influence of the letter K, it tends to create words that denote toughness and dogged action: knife, knight, knuckle, kingly, kinky, keen and kinetic. This is why many KNs (Kenny, Kinsey, Kenya, Kalyn, etc.) utilize the playful letter Y -- the symbol of youthful innocence – to reduce their name’s inherent aggression

There’s no way to tell which aspect of the KN’s personality is going to be dominant on any given day; it’s entirely up to the gods of randomness. For like most people whose names begin with a K, KNs march to the beat of their own drummers and have little sympathy for people who don’t accept them for who they are. And if the KNs aren’t everyone’s cup of chamomile, that’s perfectly fine with them. The truth is, KNs seem to live in a parallel universe and don’t fully connect with the humdrum issues that occupy the rest of us.

If you’re an acquaintance of any KNs, you’ll have a sense of the bull-headed loyalty that marks their social style and explains their faithful following of core supporters. You can count on them to deliver on every promise they make, and because they have an old-fashioned sense of duty, they will always do what they think is right regardless of the personal cost. This can be both a pro and a con for the headstrong KNs, whowill often ignore sound advicewhen barreling in the wrong direction.

Even if their social skills aren’t on a par with their intellectual capacities, KNs are undeniably smarter than most and can be formidable business opponents. Their ability to focus on problems makes them ideal computer programmers and technical advisors and their affinity for logic makes them perfect for law, medicine and the teaching professions. And even if they’re not the most colorful crayons in the box, people are often surprised to learn that KNs have the ability to read other people’s emotions quite accurately; a quality that serves them well in people-oriented careers like sales.

KNs often have a tough time when it comes to their intimate endeavors… it can be difficult to find someone who can tolerate their obstinate ways. But because relationships with these individuals hold the promise of a solid commitment and stable home, KNs have more than enough people from whom to choose. KNs aren’t hell-raisers, nor are they likely to play the field. They’re much more interested in finding someone who understands them so they can focus on more important things – like raising a house and children.
