About the Name Peggy

The potent and paternal letter P brings an air of pomp to the PG names, and when teamed up with the gallant (if sometimes growling letter G), produces a combination that is at once proud and earthy. Typically, people who bear PG names project an aura of goodwill and common sense, while those who choose to end their names with the youthful Y or IE sound, (Peggy and Peggie), are likely to be even more approachable and friendly.

You can count on PGs to spice up a party with lively discussions covering their extensive knowledge of the issues, for PGs are serious students of the world and are always up with current events. And yet, even though they know how to have a good time, they are not above the occasional descent into bouts of biting sarcasm. Usually these moods are triggered when PGs over-extend themselves by trying to be all things to all people, or when they believes that their unflagging generosity has been taken advantage of. But you can hardly blame other people for wanting to bask in the glow of the PGs’ auras; their upbeat energies offer an uplifting promise to even the most demoralized soul.

Money is important to the PG, but not for flashing-around purposes. These are people who like to stash their money for rainy days and enjoy the security that only comes from having a chunky savings book. But PGs would never trade job satisfaction for money and, with their love for intellectual challenges, are drawn to pursuits that allow them to flex their mental muscles. Teaching science or philosophy would be right up their alley, but they also love to read and write.

PGs seem to have a mixed-brain-dominance in which their ambidextrous minds operate equally well in right-brained or left-brained modes. This gift has its drawbacks though, for PGs often vacillate on which career path is going to keep them most stimulated. You might find PGs in physically demanding activities like dancing, sports or entertainment, but don’t expect to find them on the stand-up comic circuit. If they have any drawback, it’s their rather predictable sense of humor.

PGs tend to choose their relationships for their practical values rather than any madcap romantic notions, and partners will be carefully vetted for potential character flaws before PGs commit their hearts. Once ensconced in a marriage, it will usually be the PGs’ strong influence that gives the relationships their color and direction.
