About the Name Natalie

Although the letter N is usually associated with expressions of pessimism, its negative qualities are somewhat moderated by the N’s close contact with the triumphantly trumpeting T and the letter L (the symbol of life, laughter, love, liberty and learning). It’s significant that most of the NTL names are terminated with the youthful letter Y (or IE): its high-pitched sound adds a distinctly playful aspect to these otherwise steady names. These women have a spiritual poise that’s difficult to define and quite irresistible to those whose paths they cross.

Aesop once said that no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted, and it seems as if NTLs have taken him at his word: NTLs make it their business to know everyone in town (and be on good terms with them), so if you ever need an introduction to someone, you should start by giving them a call. Appearances are important to NTLs who enjoy the finer things in life, but it would be a mistake to dismiss them as prissy; they have no problem with getting their hands dirty in the service of their friends.

NTLs are known for their sense of style and tend to be the fashion leaders within their social groups. All the world’s their stage and they’re star players. Their genteel style works for them in other ways as well… they’re frightfully well spoken with a flair for saying the right things at the most awkward times.

When it comes to their careers, NTLs usually parley their abundant social skills into financial advantage. Like most people whose names begin with an N, they are well suited for the arts (music, acting, writing and design), which dovetails nicely with their strong affinity for the spotlight. As long as their work holds the promise of a creative outlet, chances are they’ll be satisfied and stable.

There’s something about the graceful way the NTL carries herself that makes her eminently attractive to the opposite sex. For all her natural poise, the NTL is never condescending and has a strong sense of justice and fair play that is particularly evident in her intimate affairs. Perhaps it stems from her (sometimes frantic) need for balance, but she has the gift of seeing both sides of an issue… even when emotionally embroiled in one of her infrequent arguments.

The NTL will simply not tolerate playing second fiddle in her relationships. She’s not seeking to dominate her partner or anything; it’s just that she expects the respect that comes from being an equal partner. The NTL was born to be a parent and will fret endlessly over the well-being of her brood. She may be overprotective, but her children will always feel safe and wanted.
